Badges are not cosmetic flex alone in Drain the Lake Roblox. Gems fund lobby bucket upgrades — the main permanent power spike between runs. Without badge income, you rely entirely on chest RNG.

Some badges unlock mid-run automatically. Others require lobby claims after the run ends. Always exit to lobby and open the Badges station before starting your next queue.

How to Claim Drain the Lake Badge Gems

Finish a Drain the Lake run or unlock a milestone mid-match. Badge pop-ups may appear on screen, but Gems are not deposited until you claim at the lobby.

Return to the lobby, walk to the Badges station, interact with the NPC, and open the badge list UI in Drain the Lake Roblox.

Click any badge you already unlocked to collect its Gem reward. Unclaimed badges show as available — claimed ones show as completed.

Repeat after every strong run. Hoarding unclaimed badges wastes lobby bucket purchases you could afford with those Gems.

Easy Drain the Lake Badges (First Hour)

These Drain the Lake badges unlock naturally during your first sessions — prioritize claiming their Gems before long grinds.

First Drop — drain your first bucket (10 Gems). Triggers on literally your first pour at the drain station.

Plunge — swim in the lake (10 Gems). Walk into water once; no deep dive required.

Lucky Find — open 10 chests (40 Gems). Chests appear as the lake level drops — interact when exposed.

Depth Drain the Lake badges tie to checkpoint flag masts in the water. Activate each checkpoint during a run, then finish the reach requirement for the badge.

Deep Dive — Cavern checkpoint (60 Gems). Mid-game depth gate after shallow loops feel trivial.

The Mines — Mineshaft checkpoint (75 Gems). Harder shark zones — use shoreline fill from controls.

Fire Below — Molten checkpoint (90 Gems). Late-mid depth; pair with Quick Drain upgrades from best upgrades.

Ancient Ruins — Lost City checkpoint (110 Gems). High depth — claim checkpoint before death spirals.

Counter Drain the Lake badges track lifetime drains and chest opens across runs. Progress persists — only Tokens reset per match.

Bucket Brigade — drain 100 buckets (60 Gems). Arrives naturally while learning the drain cycle.

Sunken Riches — find 100 chests (110 Gems). Open every chest when water exposes them; shoreline routes reduce shark downtime.

Water Works — drain 1,000 buckets (110 Gems). Long-term idle of the core loop — stack with Reward Token nodes for faster trips.

Bottomless Treasure — find 1,000 chests (140 Gems). Completionist chest hunt across many runs.

Ocean's Worst Nightmare — drain 10,000 buckets (150 Gems). Highest Gem payout in Drain the Lake Roblox — pure marathon badge.

Drain the Lake Completion Badges

These Drain the Lake badges mark major account milestones — ending clears, full skill tree, and every bucket tier.

Fully Trained — unlock every skill tree node in one or more runs (110 Gems). Plan toward skill tree completion; missing one hidden node blocks the badge.

Collect 10 badges (any combination) to unlock the Ancient Bucket claim in the Drain the Lake lobby — not a code, not a Robux purchase on verified builds.

The Ancient Bucket is S-tier on the bucket tier list — top passive for deep runs after the milestone.

Efficient route: grab all five easy badges (First Drop through Sunken Secrets if reachable), plus Bucket Brigade, Deep Dive, and checkpoint badges as you push depth.

You do not need every badge for ten — skip Ocean's Worst Nightmare until post-ending. Chase quick checkpoints and chest badges instead.
